Eligibility: Students who have not completed a bachelor's degree.
Apply as an Undergraduate Non鈥慏egree Seeking student if:
- You have not completed a bachelor鈥檚 degree
- You want to take undergraduate coursework only
- You plan to take no more than 15 undergraduate credit hours at UNT
Apply as a Graduate Non鈥慏egree student if:
- You have already earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree
- You are not currently admitted to a graduate degree program at UNT
- You plan to take any courses at UNT, including undergraduate courses

Undergraduate Applicants
- Transcripts are not required for admission, but they may be needed to verify that you meet academic prerequisites when you register.
- If you decide that you would like to become a degree-seeking student, you will need to submit a new application for admission.
- The application fee is non-refundable.
- If you are enrolling in in-person credit-bearing courses, Texas law may require you to provide .
- You must be in good academic standing and eligible to return to your previous institution.
- Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for financial aid at UNT.
Graduate Applicants
Your transcripts must show that you have earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree from a regionally accredited institution (or equivalent). To be eligible as a graduate non-degree seeking student, you will need a minimum GPA of 3.0 in your last 60 hours, or a 2.8 overall GPA.
International applicants should review information about submitting academic documents.

When can non-degree seeking students register for classes?

Can non-degree seeking students receive financial aid?
